Mediterranean spot owned by Gitano. We stopped in for drinks before the dinner crowd came in. Cool spot. Menu looked good but we didn’t eat. We sat at the bar and tried a few mezcal cocktails and watched the team prepare for the dining crowd. Cool aesthetic with whitewashed architecture, open flame grill, nice bar, good lighting and music, copal smoke, etc. We got there around 5-6pm are were the only ones for 30 minutes or so. Enjoyed our cocktails and would likely try for dinner next time around.
24 hour roasted lamb so good! Very fresh and tasty food, the chef is from Greece and so friendly and the oven is amazing!! He brought out cake and home made ice creams for birthday!! So special best meal we’ve had in 4 weeks of eating out in Tulum. The owner is so nice and talked to us for a while as well, same owner as Gitano! He even offered us a round of drinks. Best experience in Tulum!
The food was exceptionally good. We got the fish of the day, which was a red snapper, and it was delicious. The octopus starter was ok, I recommend the prawns instead. The hummus and salad were both amazing. Some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve had. Great job guys, we’ll be back :)
Best drinks in Tulum beach area. Creative and super fresh. Definitely better then Rosa negra, taboo, and bagatelle. Really cool tunnel takes you into the back area where the bar and seats are. Very cool and chill atmosphere. Great spot for photos and unwinding away from the beach club pounding speakers.Prices are the same as all of Tulum beach. Saw some reviews that didn't make sense cause they kept saying it was expensive but it's literally the same cost everywhere in the beach district. The mezcal passion fruit drink was so f-ing good! And the ziki cocktail was super fresh and light, cucumber base, and perfect for the heat. Mike was a great bartender!
Absolutely beautifully executed restaurant in terms of aesthetics and quality . Incredibly welcoming and attentive staff. Not once was my glass empty of water and my waitress Martina not only noticed the second I’ve finished my drink but felt genuinely sweet and kind. The table was held perfectly clean the entire dinner and not once did I have to seek the attention of the staff, they had their attention on me without being “overly attentive”. The price is in the same range as other restaurants in the area but with a higher quality both food wise and services. For example real napkins (not paper napkins) and the only place so far on the beach putting coasters under the glass. The manager Ivan was a sweetheart, making sure every guest had everything they needed.
Great food, ambience & service - overall we deeply enjoyed the meal, and would return again for more grilled goodness. The chicken was super tender and juicy, and definitely save room for dessert! Yay for octopus, chicken, lobster, meatballs (not gluten-free), lemon tart (not gluten-free), rose ice cream Nay for lamb (which is unexpected because it was my SO’s favourite dish the last time round, so perhaps inconsistent cut of meat?) Rant: Overall the service is attentive & top-notch. Our server unfortunately did not know what celiac and gluten-free mean, and did not give us the information we need to navigate the menu safely. He basically said it’s up to us, which is a weird way to answer the question “which of the dishes on the menu contain gluten?” - turns out that the meatballs were not gluten-free & my SO learnt it the hard way. Just have to be more careful on both ends... but I digress.
Such a special place in the heart of Tulum! From the renowned Gitano this venue is so beautiful and fun. Disco balls in the sky, amazing dance floor and epic DJ performing! I was lucky enough to see Claptone here. The food is delicious too! Grab dinner with a group of friends before. The manager Mario is super friendly and professional. He’s running this place top notch! All the staff is friendly and great.
Love this place... Mostly quiet but not sure why because the food is incredible! A must go & eat place in Tulum Beach! Save me a spot!
